Connect
the Dots

01[ Introduction ]

Give your digital product the best shot at success

Staying perfectly in tune with your needs, and helping you achieve your strategic goals. That's what we do as your product management partner.

How do we do it? By working as part of your internal team, if that's what the context demands. Or by becoming a business owner of your digital products and services.

Everything we do in product management is aimed at maximising the value of your product – and getting the most out of the resources at our disposal.

This involves finding the product-market fit, increasing development speed, reducing risk through validation, and increasing sales or user retention.

Our Approach
to Product Management

02[ Our Approach ]

We tailor our product management approach to every project, building on the tried-and-trusted processes that have powered our success since 2016.

We shape our ways of working around your business context, customer needs, commercial goals and constraints. And we stay flexible at every stage, so we always deliver exactly what you need.

  • Prep Work

We start by getting our product management team up to speed with your project goals and milestones. And we make sure everything is in place to start work right away.

We also prepare in depth for our first meeting with you, to ensure we use our time together as efficiently as possible.

  • Kick-off & Plan

In our first meeting with you, we'll discuss the work environment, tools, and communication processes we plan to use.

We'll look in detail at the routine on both sides during the project lifecycle. And we'll explain how we plan to deliver the project on time, before finally talking you through our proposed next steps.

  • Build

Our project managers will keep a constant watch over the build process and ensure everything runs to schedule. They'll keep you updated throughout and maintain communication via your preferred method.

We'll also implement the project routine we discussed in the previous stage, so you can be sure every minute we spend is a productive one.

  • Measure & Learn

Every week you'll receive a detailed summary of the work we've done and the results we've achieved.

We'll also meet regularly with you to discuss the fine details of the project. You're in control, and we'll do all we can to make things happen for you.

  • Finish Strong

We work with most of our partners for many years, on an ongoing basis. Some projects, however, have a more defined end point. If and when your project reaches that stage, you'll receive full guidelines, a presentation, and anything else we'd agreed with you previously.

Our project managers will bring you up to speed with everything you need to know and highlight all the most important elements – so you can navigate it all smoothly. Whether it's related to research, design or development. And no matter how digitally native you, your employees and subcontractors might be.

Your Questions — Answered

  • [ Question 01 of 07 ]

    Why are Product Managers essential?

Product Managers are your partners who coordinate the process across teams to create jaw-dropping products. They stay perfectly in tune with your needs and help you achieve your strategic goals. Everything we do in product management is aimed at maximising the value of your product – and getting the most out of the resources at our disposal. They are connecting the dots which are created by other teams.

  • [ Question 02 of 07 ]

Is the Product Manager the only person I am in touch with during the project?

No, in our company, Product Managers are not the bottleneck of the projects. They oversee the build process and ensure everything runs to schedule. Still, the team is a group of experts from other fields, chosen depending on the project's scope, such as UX Design, UI Design and Research. They will be at the meetings and present their work to you, and you can also be in direct touch with them through the whole process.

  • [ Question 03 of 07 ]

Are Product Managers involved in all your projects?

Yes, each project needs a person who gets things done and takes responsibility for the whole process. Product Managers are your partners to whom you can come and ask questions, but they also stay perfectly in tune with your needs and help you achieve your strategic goals. You are regularly updated, so you always know exactly what's happening, and you can be sure that the project plan is realised on time and meets the budget.

  • [ Question 04 of 07 ]

Can we have an internal Product Manager?

Yes, your Product Manager can be involved in the project and will cooperate with our Product Manager, who will connect the dots on our side. If you do not have an internal Product Manager, it is fine. Our teams and Product Managers can work with your tech or business stakeholders.

  • [ Question 05 of 07 ]

What is the difference between a Product Manager and a Project Manager?

Product Managers shape the product's strategic direction and features to align with your needs and business goals. They are responsible for prioritising tasks, overseeing the build process and ensuring everything runs to schedule. Project Managers provide the efficient execution of tasks within a defined project plan to meet time, scope, procedures and budget. Our Product Managers connect these skills. They are your partners and take care of achieving your strategic goals while being responsible for meeting the budget and deadlines.

  • [ Question 06 of 07 ]

Do you have Project Managers or only Product Managers?

Yes, we have both. At Flying Bisons, Product Managers are responsible for the whole project and coordinate the process across teams. We also have IT Project Managers focused on delivering all IT-related parts of the project. They come into projects when we need to engage our developers and are responsible for sourcing tasks for them. Our IT Project Managers are the bridge between you and our technical experts. Thanks to that, you don't have to be tech-fluent to work with us. Our IT Project Managers make everything clear, simple and easy to follow. Of course, at the same time, you still have contact with our Product Manager, who is your partner through the whole digital process at Flying Bisons.

  • [ Question 07 of 07 ]

What project management methodology do you use - agile or waterfall?

It depends on the project and our arrangements with clients. We rely on waterfall for projects established on fixed agreements because we define the work plan and requirements with you at the beginning of the project. When we base on time and material contracts, the scope of work is often agreed upon during the project. There are many changes in this type of cooperation, so the agile methodology fits perfectly.
