Textil One is a German brand established in 2009 with the mission of helping businesses to manage and optimize workwear processes.

After years of becoming a well-recognized company in their market, they decided to go a step further and enhance their online presence to become an industry leader. To achieve this challenging goal we have established a long-term relationship, where we were responsible for Digital Strategy, User Experience and User Interface Design, as well as the Development and now we Optimize the platform.

Frankfurt: The first meeting

Our team has met the founders of Textil One for the first time at the beginning of the year 2018. We dedicated our meeting to discuss the initial approach to the project, defining the vision and digital strategy for the company. The story has begun…

The Foundation: Discovery & Strategy Phase

At Flying Bisons we start every project with extensive Discovery Phase to understand the business goals, market specifics and above all the customers needs. The team of our designers has been working on both, qualitative and quantitive research to get valuable data and then to turn it into meaningful insights. We have also done competition analysis to check out market standards, as well as the value proposition of other companies.

Architecture Simplified

Together with the Textil One management, we have decided to revamp the information architecture of the previous solution. We have simplified the content and structured all the elements to reflect customer expectations. We also got rid of the redundant elements of the site to reduce the complexity and scope of the project. On another hand, we have added additional elements that are supposed to bring ultimate value to the user: Wizzard, Enhanced Product Designer, B2E Solution.

Reduced Number of Products

Simple and intuitive Information Architecture is crucial, but we went a step further. We simplified the number of Industries and Products as well. Once it is defined, it is easier for both, the company itself, as well as the clients to navigate and to find desired products. We have discovered that 8 industries cover 99% of clients of Textil One. The next step was to decrease the number of products available in the store: We wanted to have only one product that meets a specific needs, having a unique value proposition.

Redefining the Brand Image

Experience Design exceeds the scope of digital design. Together with Textil One we have reimagined the new brand image that reflects company values and professional approach. Together with Konrad Sybilski, one of the best graphic designers in Poland, we have created a new branding that includes many applications of the logo and brand visuals.

Even though statistically some of the companies were medium size, their needs perfectly matched into one of those two categories.

That let us simplify processes and communication to the customer. We were able to shape dual value proposition: to offer personalized consulting services for big enterprises and to optimize and automate smaller clients that want to go through the process on their own. This approach let us bring value for two customer segments grup, as well as to minimize the operational costs.

The Heart of the Platform

E-commerce is the essence of the website for small business which is more likely to buy products in the shop on their own. We decided to apply aesthetic design with a content-first approach to encourage users to focus on the products. Textil One provided brand new pictures for all the products in the store in many different colors, which also enhance the user experience while browsing the offer.

All the products are easily findable through search, categories or filters - we wanted to optimize the time needed to find the desired outcome. Every product also has a rich content description to answer the questions of the users, as well as to improve SEO results.

Even though it might seem simple, we had to spend a couple of days designing the best possible solution for product configurator.

Since most clients order products in bulk, they are likely to order one product in many different colors and sizes. We came up with an intuitive solution that enables users to configure the order quickly.

Wizzard & Consulting Service

For a long time, Textil One has been consulting and helping other companies to choose the best possible workwear solutions that meet one’s needs. We wanted to keep a consulting and market expert image. However, we were also thinking about how can we automate the entire process. We have designed a wizard that asks a couple of questions and does the hard work for Textil One customer support department. After a few simple answer clients get the list of recommendations that are the best solutions to their needs. On the other hand you can also take advantage of the personalised consulting services of Textil One experts.

Product Development

Development was a significant part of our cooperation, where we dedicated over 300 hours to implement the designed solution.

We have decided to use the Shopify platform, however we had to develop a custom solution to provide the great customer experience. We have been working with a Shopify expert to ensure that we are doing the best possible job to implement the design in the fastest way, to optimize the time and the budget needed for a development part. We were pleased to have such an expert on the board, and we believe that it was a great working experience also for Christian.
