Usability Testing

Usability testing is one of the most effective methods of verifying whether the applied solutions are comfortable and understandable for users and whether they translate into the implementation of business goals. Tests allow you to check how real users are moving within software or website and where are they encountering problems with understanding content or performing an action. Deepening questions asked by the researcher allow us to find out what changes the users would expect so that the quality of their experiences would improve.
Usability testing is usually applied in two cases. The first case is the verification of the current solution, allowing to determine its strengths and weaknesses, as well as gathering information needed to develop hot-fixes. The second case is the verification of a new concept. Conducting such a test on a pre-prepared prototype, before submitting the project to programmers for coding, saves time and money. It is easier to change a model than a finished product.
Before Usability testing, the recruitment of selected subjects is carried out. The course of the test is recorded, and the obtained audio-video recordings allow to draw conclusions and prepare a report, which is a valuable element, of, e.g. board presentation.
