    The challenge

    Value-Driven UX Strategy
    for Gymsteer

    At the time being Gymsteer supports over 700 gyms and fitness studios in Poland. The task we were faced required from us rethinking the whole process of registration for a gym and figure out what drives people to train in less than two months. Creating an “Uber” for gyms in such a short amount of time was a tremendous effort both for us as well for the Gymsteer team.

    The process

    Communication Strategy,

    The task involved carrying out several workshops to specify the new strategy for the product and scope of work feasible in such a short time. Besides the strategy, we wanted to create something unique in the context of design. That is why we have prepared a new visual style for the Gymsteer app, supplemented by a number of persona-dedicated landing pages to gather more high-quality traffic.

    The results

    New approach to fitness
    and being active

    We have been working together with Gymsteer for more than two months after the product has been released. We believe that a new approach to fitness we proposed will quickly return to more engaged users and realizing business goals. New “Uber” for being active is here.

GETTING TO KNOW THE PROBLEM

Workshops with clients are always an essential part of the projects. Together with the Gymsteer team, we spenta substantialamount of time trying to better understand the specifics of the client’s business and the problem that we decided to solve. The effects of the workshops were, among others, a new marketing strategy for the product. This phase also consisted of a UI/UX audit we conducted.

A NEW APPROACH

Our experience shows clearly a high value of properly directed communication. We set a goal to create acoherent communication that would allow to smoothly guide a user through the entire process, starting with a desire to change their habits and ending with completed training.

To accomplish this, we used a dozen of landing pages communicating different values and possibilities depending on the persona. Everyone is different!

This leads to the user flow, we designed to intuitively guide the user within the app.

Exploring Visual Styles

There are already several well-known fitness industry solutions on the market. Through subsequent iterations, we agreed with the client that Gymsteer needs recognition not only through the services it provides but also through unusual design. We decided to use the orange color already present in the branding and strengthen it, even adding unique illustrations that give a special character.

Gymsteer Brand Identity has been created at the very beginning of the work, as the foundation for the entire design process. It covered the App logo, colors, patterns, icons, and illustrations.

The website is divided into several dynamic sections that change according to the specific persona. Both photos and texts change to increase the chances of conversion.
